Our Mission
The South Burlington Schools' Foundation for Educational Advancement's mission is to support the school district's efforts to ensure that each student possesses the knowledge, skills and character to create a successful and responsible life. We do this by raising funds that fiscally support the District's programs and initiatives.
Burlington Insurance Agency and Co-operative Insurance Companies Award $1300 Community Grant through the South Burlington Schools' Foundation to Chamberlin Library on February 3, 2011.

SBHS SCHOLARSHIP DONATIONS
Gary Barber Memorial Technology Department Award
Howard and Lorain Barber, long-time South Burlington community members and supporters, recently gifted SBHS $25,000 towards endowing a scholarship in their son's honor, Gary Barber. Gary was a 1976 graduate of SBHS and is remembered as a very accomplished artist and designer. This award is given out annually at graduation to a South Burlington senior who excels in the Technology Department.
Abigail Rush Memorial World Language Award
South Burlington High School received an anonymous gift of $3,000 from an SBHS Alumnus who wanted to honor one of her teachers, Ms. Ann Sorrell. Ms. Sorrell, World Language Department Head has chosen to donate the funds to the Rush Scholarship. This scholarship honors Abigail Rush, a 1980 graudate of SBHS. Abigail had a spirit and intellectual capacity which knew no bounds, she was one of the most gifted foreign language students to have studied at SBHS. This award is given out annually at graduation to a South Burlington senior who shows the greatest interest and ability in the study of foreign languages and who exemplifies Abigails' best character traits.

HOMECOMING 2010 - DONATIONS & DEDICATIONS

The Kiwanis Club of Chittenden County was The new Concession Stand and Ticket Booth
recognized with a dedication for their $8,000 was dedicated in honor of the Farrell family's
fencing gift to the SB Schools Foundation. $150,000 donation to the Fields and Dreams
campaign. The pavilion was aptly named the Skip
Farrell Family Pavilion.

The SBSF board recognizes the need to support all students in grades K-12 who express interest and passion in a variety of pursuits, including the arts, technology, academics, and athletics. Our commitment is towards providing each student with the encouragement and the resources in order to give them their desired scholastic experience. By doing this, we can confidently ensure the students' perception of their hopes and dreams. When We Meet The South Burlington Schools' Foundation Board meets once a month to discuss the foundation's agenda and devise a plan of action. All of our meetings are open to the public and we gladly invite you to come and see all the exciting things the SBSF is working on. Fields & Dreams: A Community Achievement Thanks to our generous donors, we have raised over $1.2 million to renovate our outdoor athletic facilities. In the last five years we have put in an artificial turf field, stadium bleachers, a press box, lights, a new PA system,scoreboard and a concession stand/ticket booth pavilion. Academic Boosters
